Are you Pre-Medicare (U-65)?

Good News! You have options when it comes to health insurance, and we have access to ALL of them!

1. COBRA gives employees and their families who lose their health benefits the ability to continue coverage provided by their employer for a limited period of time (up to 18 months) under certain circumstances such as voluntary or involuntary leave, reduction in the hours, transition between jobs, death, divorce, and other life events. Qualified individuals may be required to pay the full premium for coverage up to 102% of the cost to the plan.

2. AFFORDABLE CARE ACT (Marketplace/ ObamaCare): The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, referred to as the “ACA” for short, is the comprehensive health care reform law enacted in March 2010. The law had 3 primary goals:

1. Offer affordable health insurance to more people by providing consumers with subsidies (“premium tax credits”) lowering costs for households with incomes between 100% and 400% of the federal poverty level(FPL).

2. Expand Medicaid to cover all adults with income below 138% of the FPL (not all states have expanded their Medicaid programs)

3. Support innovative medical care delivery methods designed to lower the costs of healthcare.

We only work with carriers you know and trust and have made accessing plans easy. Applications require NO health exams! No exclusions for pre-existing health conditions and application take under 10 minutes to complete. To access available plans in your area, you can click ACCESS PLANS NOW!

3. Short-Term Health Plans are a temporary solution used to cover medical expenses for emergencies and other health concerns, often used to bridge gaps between longer-term plans. These plans typically last up to 3 months or less in duration with the ability to extend for an additional month. Coverage usually offers fewer benefits and lower coverage amounts than COBRA or plans through the ACA. They may have limited office visits, rarely cover pre-existing conditions, mental health services, substance abuse, or maternity. Unlike ACA plans, there is no enrollment period and can be signed up year round. They are NOT regulated by the Affordable Care Act (ACA).

4. Fixed-Indemnity (First-Dollar) Health Plans are another great option that pays a set, predetermined benefit amount by the insurance company for each service. In many cases the benefit paid exceeds the charged or billed amount. In those cases, you, the customer receives the extra, unused benefit dollars back. This occurs over 85% of the time with our Top-Rated Flagship carrier. These plans are very comprehensive and do not have deductibles and copays for outpatient services. These are often a very affordable option, great for those who have inconsistent income, income that is difficult to predict, does not qualify for a tax credit, travel extensively for work (truck drivers, travel nurses, etc), or small business owners wanting to offer an affordable benefit package to their employees. Much like the Short-Term Health Plans, there is no enrollment period and can be signed up year round and are NOT regulated by the Affordable Care Act (ACA).

5. Healthcare Sharing Plans are provided by organizations whose members “share” medical costs. You are responsible for paying a monthly share amount (like a premium) as well as an “annual unshared amount” for medical expenses (like a deductible) that your medical expenses must exceed before the plan shares your expenses. Health sharing organizations are mostly religious-based. That doesn’t always mean you must declare your faith to participate or join, but they do ask you to agree to live by a moral and healthy lifestyle—like not using tobacco or abusing drugs or alcohol. Healthcare sharing is NOT insurance, but count as insurance under the Affordable Care Act (ACA). They are not regulated by department of insurance. Healthcare sharing plans aren’t required to cover pre-existing conditions, like cancer, diabetes, or lifestyle-related conditions like smoking and may be declined membership or won’t have the conditions covered for a year or more.

WITH SO MANY OPTIONS, HOW DO I DECIDE WHICH PLAN IS BEST FOR ME?

First piece of advice, don't attempt to navigate this alone! It is complex and confusing for most. You wouldn't attempt to diagnose and treat symptoms of an illness without an expert medical opinion, right? Health insurance can also have a long-lasting impact if not approached appropriately. Choosing the wrong plan can be devastating. It can impact your ongoing health and financial situation(s), simply by selecting inadequate coverage, wrong network affiliation, or overpaying for coverage that doesn't right fit for your healthcare needs.

It's important to work with a specialist with years of experience, who knows and understands health insurance in the U.S. and does not have an obligation to one company. Work with a broker who can help to remove the stress and simplify the process by shopping the entire health insurance market to narrow down only plans that are right for you.

We would love to help find you the best option for your health insurance. In order to find the best fit, we need a little more information. Follow the prompts to get started.

How Our Story Began

Burton is the CEO and founder of Hercules Health Solutions. He is natural born leader with a desire to help protect others. That passion came from his years as a first responder. Burton spent over 20 years serving his communities as a Paramedic, with time in Las Vegas, Nevada, Austin and Dallas, Texas, as well as the mountainous region of Montana, South Dakota, and Wyoming. Burton fulfilled his career goal as a Special Operations Medic, specializing in swiftwater rescue, high-angle rescue, and tactical EMS before pursuing a role as a Flight Paramedic, which he enjoyed for over 10 years. While flying, he began teaching and found a new love for education, He found it so rewarding to spread knowledge and expertise. In fact, that led him to being a Regional Clinical Educator for the largest air-medical companies in the U.S.

After 20 years in emergency medicine came to an abrupt halt as it did for so many 2020. Burton was forced into a career change that led to an opportunity of a lifetime. Burton found himself unemployed, searching for a job and health insurance for his family. "I learned, first-hand how flawed and challenging our country is when it comes to finding coverage." "I became overwhelmed and frustrated with the entire process." That frustration let him to opening an insurance agency, Hercules Health Solutions in July of 2021.

His passion to protect continues. He's able to apply his background in healthcare and education to what he does. "I provide clients with the knowledge they deserve in a failed insurance industry. They can count on honest feedback." "I am so blessed with this opportunity. To help my customers every single day by providing them with the financial protection they deserve."

Burton is licensed in over 30 states giving him the ability to help more people across the U.S. Now partnered with the top companies, offering hundreds of customizable health insurance options.
